The Glimpse Of Glory

Date: Friday June 1, 2018
Topic: You Can’t Hold the Dawn
Basic Scripture Reading:Isaiah 58:6 – 12

“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light” – Genesis 1:3 The dawn is synonymous with darkness, hence the popular saying: “The darkest hour is the dawn”. The dawn is also a transition hour - the transition from night to day. Naturally many people today may not know when it’s dawn because everywhere is lit up with electric light. However, those of us that grew up in the village know that there’s usually a brief moment of severe darkness before the break of day. One may be tempted to go back to sleep because of the deceitfulness of the dawn. Similarly, there are some life’s issues that we think may never come to an end.

Some people are used to some problems that they’ve come to believe they’ll live all their days on earth. It looks like each passing day looks darker. Their faith has grown weak and victory looks elusive. But, is there an end? Yes, there is! The Psalmist puts it succinctly in Psalm 30:5, “…weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning”. God is speaking to you today: the period of darkness in your life is over! Now let’s consider the following facts about the dawn: Firstly, there’s always a dawn in every life.

Secondly, the dawn lasts longer in some lives. Thirdly, the dawn is a transition moment and nobody can hold it down. Fourthly, when God speaks to your dawn (your darkest hour) light must appear and the darkness must disappear. Lastly, that it appears darkest now is in indication that your morning will soon appear. Confess this in faith:

My darkness is over. My morning has come. The light of God shines on me today. PRAYERS: Thank you Father for the breaking of a new day in my life. 2. Let your favour surround my life today in Jesus name. 3. Let every dark area of my life receive your light today in Jesus name
